Hantaviruses are usually carried by rodents, but human transmission of the Andes strain - which the World Health Organization (WHO) believes was contracted by some of the Dutch ship's passengers while in South America - is possible.

At a demonstration of several hundred people in Basel, Switzerland, where the final was held, protesters wore the Palestinian flag and smeared themselves with fake blood to symbolise the killings in Gaza. During the grand final the Israeli singer Yuval Raphael was targeted when two people attempted to storm the stage, and threw paint which ended up hitting a Eurovision crew member.

The atmosphere in the arena as the results came in was easily the most tense I've experienced in my years of reporting on the song contest. People were praying. Some were crying. There were chants of "Austria, Austria" as the audience awaited the final scores.

TT/Reuters
Some have opposed Israel's inclusion since the start of the war in Gaza
If many in the crowd didn't appear to want Israel to win, the public vote showed a different perspective. Yuval Raphael, who received middling points from the competition's judges, outperformed every other participant when it came to the public vote.

A number of broadcasters subsequently queried Israel finishing so highly. They pointed to the fact that official social media accounts linked to Israel's government, including that of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, had been asking people to vote for its representative 20 times, the maximum the contest allowed.

Their implication was that the public vote result was less a reflection of widespread public support for Raphael, and more the product of some people voting for Israel as many times as they could.

The Israeli government itself has frequently claimed it faces a global smear campaign.

                                    <img height="300" width="500" src="https://rennews.hasibulhuq.com/
A painting stolen from a Jewish art collector by the Nazis during World War Two has been found in the home of descendants of a notorious Dutch SS collaborator, an art detective has said.

Portrait of a Young Girl, by Dutch artist Toon Kelder, is believed to have hung for decades in the home of Hendrik Seyffardt's family, Arthur Brand said.

It had belonged to Jewish art dealer Jacques Goudstikker, who died while fleeing the Nazi invasion of the Netherlands in 1940, leaving behind a collection of more than 1,000 paintings.

The case was brought to Brand's attention by a man who told him he was a descendant of Seyffardt and that he was "disgusted" to learn his family had kept the artwork for years.

Seyffardt was a Dutch general who commanded a Waffen-SS unit of volunteers on the eastern front before he was assassinated by resistance fighters in 1943.

Shortly after learning he was related to Nazi collaborator, the man approached his grandmother to ask about the painting's history.

She is said to have told him it had been purchased during World War Two and that it was "Jewish looted art, stolen from Goudstikker. It is unsellable. Don't tell anyone."

The family, which changed their name at the end of the war, have admitted being in possession of the painting but denied knowing its true origin, according to a statement to Dutch media.

Painting looted by Nazis has vanished again, say Argentine police
After learning of the painting's history, the family member contacted Brand through an intermediary, believing the only way for it to be returned was for the story to be made public.

The family member told Dutch outlet De Telegraaf: "I feel ashamed. The painting should be returned to the heirs of Goudstikker."

In a statement to the same newspaper, his grandmother said: "I received it from my mother.

But in recent days it has been grappling with a different kind of fame, one that has cast a shadow over local businesses and officials: the suggestion it could be ground zero for the hantavirus outbreak on the Dutch vessel MV Hondius.

The cruise ship is now anchored in Tenerife in Spain's Canary Islands where passengers are being evacuated and flown home. It began its journey on 1 April, more than 6,000 miles away in Ushuaia in the province of Tierra del Fuego.

On board were 114 passengers and 61 crew members from 22 countries. While the virus is believed to have come aboard there, its precise origin - and the identity of those carrying it - remains unclear. That uncertainty has fuelled intense speculation in parts of the media.

One theory suggests a passenger may have been infected at a landfill site on the outskirts of Ushuaia, where tourists often visit to watch birds and where waste attracts rats and mice. Argentinian officials who spoke anonymously to some news outlets have said that is their leading hypothesis.

That suggestion, however, has not been well received locally.

Matías Zibell / BBC News Mundo
A landfill site on the outskirts of Ushuaia has been identified as a possible source of the infection
"In Tierra del Fuego we have no record of hantavirus cases in our history," Juan Facundo Petrina, the province's Director General of Epidemiology and Environmental Health, said.

                                    <img height="300" width="500" src="https://rennews.hasibulhuq.com/
The two 18-year-olds were the focus of attention in the build-up to the game at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca urging his player to ignore the comparisons.

Estevao's moment of magic came 10 minutes after half time when he received the ball on the right before beating two defenders and lashing it into the roof of Joan Garcia's net.

It was the 10th goal of the season for club and country for the winger, in his first season at Chelsea.

Estevao's goal gave Barcelona, already trailing 1-0 and down to 10 men, a mountain to climb and substitute Liam Delap put the game to bed in the 73rd minute, sidefooting home from close range.

Delap's goal was initially ruled out for offside but VAR overruled the on-field officials.

The lopsided scoreline was just reward for two-time European champions Chelsea, who were superior from the first whistle against a pallid Barcelona team.

The game had started at a frantic pace.

Enzo Fernandez bundled the ball into the net in the fourth minute only for the goal to be ruled out due a handball by Wesley Fofana.

Two minutes later Ferran Torres seemed certain to score at the other other end when clean through with only Robert Sanchez to beat but he skewed wide.

The game then drifted before Chelsea again upped the tempo.

Fernandez again had the ball in the net but this time it was disallowed for an offside and moments later Pedro Neto blazed over the bar.

But the home side's pressure finally paid off in the 27th minute following a short-corner routine.

The ball was eventually whipped into the box and Barcelona tied themselves in knots, Jules Kounde poking the ball home for an own goal.

                                    <img height="300" width="500" src="https://rennews.hasibulhuq.com/
New artificial intelligence (AI) tools and capabilities from Google, Microsoft and xAI will now be tested by the US Department of Commerce before they are released to the public.

The tech firms have agreed to voluntarily submit their models for testing through Commerce's Center for AI Standards and Innovation (CAISI).

The new pacts are an expansion on agreements by AI companies like OpenAI and Anthropic that were reached during the Biden Administration, and will see AI models from all of the companies evaluated for their capabilities and security.

"These expanded industry collaborations help us scale our work in the public interest at a critical moment," CAISI's director Chris Fall said.

Overall, the evaluations of the AI tools will cover "testing, collaborative research and best practice development related to commercial AI systems."

Google's best known AI tool, through its DeepMind subsidiary, is Gemini, a chatbot that is widely available on Google products but is now also being used in US defence and military agencies.

Microsoft's best known AI tool is CoPilot, while xAI's only AI product in Grok, a chatbot that has come under widespread public scrutiny for issues were it undressed people in images.

On Tuesday, CASI said it has conducted 40 previous evaluations of AI tools, including evaluation and testing of certain "state-of-the-art models that remain unreleased."

The centre did not specify which models have been stopped from being released to the public.

In a corporate blog post published after the CAISI announcement, Microsoft said it already tests its AI models, but that "testing for national security and large-scale public safety risks necessarily must be a collaborative endeavour with governments."

A spokeswoman for Google's DeepMind declined to comment. A representative of SpaceX, the Elon Musk company that now controls xAI, did not respond to a request for comment.

Bringing in more companies for research and safety testing of commercial AI tools marks a departure for the Trump White House, which has taken a largely hands off approach to oversight or regulation of AI and technology companies.

Last year, US President Donald Trump signed a string of executive orders that formed the basis of his administration's "AI Action Plan", which he said would "remove red tape and onerous regulation" around AI development and ensure that the US will "win" through advancements and control of the technology.

But with the US military expanding its use of AI, and recent claims by Anthropic that it developed a model Called Mythos that is too powerful for release to the public, the White House seems to be shifting its outlook.

Senior members of Trump's staff met last month with Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, as the BBC previously reported, even as the company is mired in a lawsuit with the US Department of Defense over Anthropic's refusal to drop safety guardrails for government use of its models.
White House
SpaceX
Google
Artificial intelligence
Donald Trump

The company confirmed it would be merging two of the lines producing the Leaf, Juke and Qashqai models at its Sunderland plant, but said no jobs would be lost through the change.

However, the Japanese-owned car maker said it was in talks to cut about 10% of its European workforce, which included plans to close part of its warehouse in Barcelona and import cars to Nordic countries.

A Nissan spokesperson said the changes were being made under its RE:Nissan recovery plan and were designed to create a "leaner, more resilient business that adapts quickly to market changes".

The company said it had started discussions with its European employees with a view to simplifying structures and "ensuring we operate in a sustainable and profitable way".

A spokesperson said: "We have also announced that we will consolidate production from two lines to one at our Sunderland plant as we assess future opportunities to secure full plant utilisation."

Talks with Chery
Nissan said no jobs would be lost because of the line merger but confirmed the 900 being cut across Europe included a small number of UK-based office roles.

Consolidation of work on a single production line leaves the second available for another manufacturer to come in and build their own cars, helping to absorb surplus capacity at the factory.

Although the Sunderland site is used to build three models, it currently operates well below its potential and has been holding talks with other firms.

It is understood to have spoken to several companies including Chinese giant Chery, owner of the Jaecoo and Omoda brands.

The firm has been present in the UK since late 2024, and its sales in the country have grown rapidly.

It is already preparing to assemble cars at a former Nissan plant in Barcelona.

Chery was unavailable for comment but its UK head, Victor Zhang, previously told the BBC it was evaluating whether to set up a manufacturing base in the UK.

With increasing urgency to shake up a long-unsettled contest, many of the people on stage declared themselves the “only candidate” to carry certain distinctions. They picked fresh fights with each other – and in particular, former Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra – after prior debates that were more civil.

“I can’t believe that on a stage with 30 minutes of interrupting and bickering and name-calling and shouting and disrespect … that anyone wants to talk about my temperament,” said Democratic former Rep.
The debate featured two Republicans — Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco and Trump-backed conservative commentator Steve Hilton — and five Democrats: Porter, Becerra, billionaire investor Tom Steyer, San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan and former Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Democrats are dominant in California, but the top two vote-getters regardless of party will advance in the June 2 nonpartisan primary.

Amsterdam bans public adverts for meat and fossil fuels

https://rennews.hasibulhuq.com/article/disappointed-haaland-didnt-score-four-or-five-guardiola

The father-of-three's bail was continued and he is due back in court in July. Since his arrest, publishers, shops and schools have pulled his books from shelves.

Outside court, Silvey did not make any comments to the media.

His 2009 novel Jasper Jones - a coming-of-age story featuring a 13-year-old boy as its protagonist - garnered several awards in Australia and was shortlisted for the International Dublin Literary Awards.

In 2017, it was made into a feature film, starring Toni Collette and Hugo Weaving.

Another of his acclaimed works is 2022's Runt, about the adventures of an 11-year-old girl and her stray dog and set in the Australia outback. It was also adapted for film in 2024, featuring Celeste Barber.
Since his arrest in January, several of Silvey's works - Jasper Jones, Runt and Rhubarb - have been removed from teaching lists in schools in Western Australia and Victoria.
" alt="Popular Australian author pleads guilty over child exploitation material">

Beginning at Maypole Primary School in Dartford, the 50-year-old's promotional book tour of When Brian Met Terry is to branch out across the UK.

Kane performed a children's comedy show at the school about animals, including bringing his own pets, and toured the school's farm with the pupils.

Olivia, a student at the school said: "I like writing stories too and this will inspire me to write more."

The book centres around a true story about the introduction of Kane's pet chihuahua to his Burmese cat but is also a metaphor for change and children's big emotions.

The story also draws on family dynamics like new siblings and is inspired by the fact Kane's parents only had one more child after him as he reacted so badly to his new brother.

The bookselling is being provided by Kent's multi-award-winning Sevenoaks Bookshop.

Kane began writing his own books from the age of eight and handed them out to his family in an attempt to make them laugh.

Since then, he has published a novel, The Humorist, a memoir about his dad titled Son of a Silverback and his debut children's book, Pet Selector, in September 2024.

Another student, Charlie, said: "Reading is really important as it increases your vocabulary and makes you more intelligent.

"Russell is also very funny and made us all laugh last time he visited."
" alt="Russell Kane releases debut children's picture book">

What's happening to UK petrol and diesel prices?

Celebrities arrived at the 2026 Met Gala with their take on this year's theme - costume art - where organisers asked attendees to experiment with the lavish and whimsical dress code.

The annual event is a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute, and serves as chance for celebrities and design houses to go all-out on spectacle.

Full coverage: Met Gala 2026 red carpet
The golden-voiced Broadway star Joshua Henry, took the drama up a notch by opening the carpet with a rendition of I Wanna Dance With Somebody with a band and dancers on the Met's iconic steps, which were outfitted to look like mossy bricks in a lush garden.

The guest list was especially starry this year, with the event's co-chairs including singer Beyoncé, actress Nicole Kidman, tennis star Venus Williams, and global editorial director of Vogue Anna Wintour.

A parade of celebrities, including Madonna, Sabrina Carpenter, Naomi Osaka and Angela Bassett posed for the cameras.

Some famous faces - Bad Bunny, Heidi Klum, and Katy Perry - were nearly unrecognisable thanks to their commitment to the theme, with several stars directly referencing famous artists or artworks with their outfits.
Here's a look at some of the highlights and most talked-about looks, with additional reporting by Nada Tawfik on the red carpet.

Beyoncé takes over the carpet with her famous family

Getty Images for The Met Museum/Vogue
Beyoncé made her first Met Gala appearance in 10 years, and to make up for lost time she sported a monumental look.

The creation, by French designer Olivier Rousteing, took on the Gala's theme with a gown with an embellished skeleton design, and added a giant feathered cape.

The BBC caught up with Beyonce on the carpet. Asked how it felt to be back, the star said, "It feels great to be here with my daughter and husband".

The star took to the carpet with husband, rapper Jay-Z, and her daughter, Blue Ivy, who at 14 years old was one of the youngest guests. The Gala typically only allows guests who are 18 or older.

Getty Images
Rihanna arrives fashionably late, A$AP Rocky in tow
AFP via Getty Images
Getty Images for The Met Museum/Vogue
As has become almost tradition, the musical and fashionable power couple closed down the Met Gala carpet, arriving virtually after everyone.

Rihanna donned a custom Maison Margiela by Glenn Martens gown encrusted with thousands of jewels and beads. A$AP Rocky, who co-chaired last year's Gala, arrived in custom Chanel. He donned a pink coat with black satin lapels.
" alt="The most talked-about looks at this year's Met Gala">

Earlier rankings placed Bangladesh 100th in January 2025, 97th in 2024, and 101st in 2023.

According to the latest Henley Passport Index, a Bangladeshi passport allows visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 38 destinations, placing the country alongside North Korea in the ranking.

In South Asia, Maldives holds the highest position, ranking 56th with visa-free access to 94 destinations. It is followed by India, which ranks 85th with access to 57 countries, Bhutan at 92nd with 50 destinations, and Sri Lanka at 98th with 41. Nepal and Pakistan are placed below Bangladesh, at 101st and 103rd, with visa-free access to 36 and 31 countries respectively.

At the top of the global list, Singapore retains its lead, granting visa-free access to 193 destinations, followed by South Korea with 190. At the other end, Afghanistan remains the lowest-ranked passport at 106th, with visa-free access to only 24 destinations, while Syria (105th) and Iraq (104th) sit just above it.

For the first time in the 20-year history of the Henley Passport Index, the United States has dropped out of the world's top 10 most powerful passports. Once ranked No. 1 in 2014, the US passport has now fallen to 12th place -- sharing the spot with Malaysia -- and offers visa-free access to just 180 of 227 global destinations. The United Kingdom has also seen a decline, slipping to its lowest-ever ranking. Once the world leader in 2015, the UK passport has fallen from sixth to eighth place since July.

Brazil and Argentina jointly hold the 19th spot with 169, while Israel ranks 20th with 165. Myanmar and Lebanon are placed at 96th, each offering visa-free access to 44 destinations.

The Henley Passport Index compares 199 passports across 227 travel destinations, assigning one point for each destination that can be entered without a visa, or with visa-on-arrival, a visitor's permit, or an electronic travel authority (ETA). Where a visa or pre-departure government approval is required, a score of zero is assigned. A passport's total score represents the number of destinations accessible without prior visa requirements.
" alt="Bangladesh holds 100th spot in 2025 Passport Index, 7th weakest globally">

The Inter Miami forward — a teammate of Lionel Messi — coolly guided Gianluca Prestianni's clever pass past Colombian goalkeeper Jordan Garcia with the outside of his boot.

In a tense opening half, Colombia's Juan Arizala came closest to breaking the deadlock, flashing a shot narrowly wide in the 42nd minute. The second half, however, turned into an end-to-end battle, with both sides creating chances. Argentina goalkeeper Santino Barbi was in inspired form, denying Arizala's header with a fingertip save before defender Tobias Ramirez made a vital intervention to stop Emilio Aristizabal from scoring.

Colombia's hopes faded when Jhon Renteria was sent off for a second booking after bringing down Dylan Gorosito.
While receiving the award, the actress shared her experience of portraying the role, saying, "I have received many awards in my life, and perhaps I will receive more in the future, but this one will always remain special to me.

The hiring highlights the intense competition for top AI talent among leading tech firms. It also adds a new layer to the ongoing rivalry between OpenAI and xAI.

Terre des Hommes Netherlands, with support from Breaking the Silence (BTS) and Village Education Resource Centre, organised the discussion at The Daily Star Centre in the capital.

At the event, Terre des Hommes Country Manager in Bangladesh Nazrul Islam said although the government has enacted several laws and undertaken various policies, child protection is still "largely neglected" in the country.

He stressed that stakeholders must come forward and demonstrate responsibility to improve the situation, since legislation alone is not sufficient.

Zahidul Islam, director (programme and planning) at Breaking the Silence, said many RMG factories have daycare facilities but those are inadequate compared to the number of working parents.

"This inadequacy could harm the parents' dedication in providing quality service and subsequently impact the sector negatively," said Zahidul, who moderated the discussion.

INCIDIN Bangladesh Executive Director AKM Masud Ali said there are parents who leave their children back home in rural areas for months while they seek fortune in cities like Dhaka. Strengthening protection mechanisms for such left-behind children is also crucial, he said.

A tripartite initiative involving government infrastructures, the economic strength of the industry sector, and civic platforms could provide sustainability to child protection mechanisms in Bangladesh, he added, emphasising the need to involve trade union groups in the process.

SM Taifur Rahman, deputy director at Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission, said just like the physical world, children should also be made aware of keeping distance from unknown individuals in cyberspace.

"Virtual harm could be as severe as physical harm," he said, stressing the need for generating awareness among parents about online safety and ensuring counselling and motivation for victims.

Roisul Islam, project manager at the Multisectoral Programme of the Women and Children Affairs Ministry, said they receive about 6,000 phone calls on average per day on the "109" helpline service, mostly concerning domestic violence, sexual harassment, and violence against children.

He said officials document the complaints and take action based on the merit of the problems by involving local administration until those are resolved.

Abdul Hamid Mia, director (administration and finance) at the Department of Social Services, and Roksana Sultana, general secretary of Breaking the Silence, also spoke at the discussion.
" alt="Children left alone at home vulnerable offline, online">

According to an army post on X, more than 250,000 people have reportedly fled the city. The military is urging remaining residents to travel via al-Rashid Street towards al-Mawasi or camps in central Gaza.

However, a journalist said, "Despite intense bombardment in Gaza City, many residents have stayed put -- or returned after seeking shelter elsewhere -- because many of Israel's designated evacuation zones are desperately overcrowded and under-resourced, including lacking proper water access."

The United Nations estimates from late August indicated approximately one million Palestinians were living in and around Gaza's largest urban centre, where famine conditions are taking hold after months of deteriorating circumstances, reports Al Jazeera online.

The UN and the international community have called on Israel to abandon its plans to capture the city, warning that such an assault could worsen the humanitarian crisis.

Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani yesterday urged the international community to "stop using double standards" and punish Israel for what he described as its "crimes".

He was speaking at a preparatory meeting on the eve of an emergency summit of Arab and Islamic leaders organised by Qatar after Israel carried out an unprecedented air strike on Hamas leaders in Doha.

"The time has come for the international community to stop using double standards and to punish Israel for all the crimes it has committed, and Israel needs to know that the ongoing war of extermination that our brotherly Palestinian people is being subjected to, and whose aim is to expel them from their land, will not work," the prime minister said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said yesterday that the alliance with the United States has never been stronger as he joined Rubio in praying at one of Judaism's holiest sites.

                                    <img height="300" width="500" src="https://rennews.hasibulhuq.com/
Federal Reserve officials, already expected to cut interest rates next week, may also be closer to settling a months-long debate over the risks of stagflation after recent data showed longstanding weakness in hiring and easing inflation concerns.

The shift in tone began this summer, led by dissents in July from two Fed governors who wanted to cut rates at that time based on risks to the job market, and continuing as other officials began downplaying inflation and focusing more on an economy that was slowing and at risk of shedding jobs.

As the US central bank's September 16-17 meeting nears, the latest batch of data shows the unemployment rate rose in August to 4.3 percent and the economy actually lost jobs in June following a revision. Had that data been available in the initial June estimates, it could have influenced the Fed's decision on July 30 to hold its benchmark interest rate steady in the 4.25 percent-4.50 percent range, where it has been since December.

In addition, a benchmark revision of employment this week indicated nearly a million fewer jobs were added in the year through March than originally reported.

Consumer prices in August did rise faster than in the prior month, but initial jobless benefits claims jumped in the latest week, in another sign of labor market cooling.

The situation resembles last summer when slowed hiring and downward revisions to prior estimates prompted a half-percentage-point rate cut at the Fed's meeting that September. While market analysts, including 105 of 107 economists in a recent Reuters poll, expect only a quarter-percentage-point cut next week, the latest data could lead officials to project a quicker and steadier drop in rates as they move from guarding against inflation to defending the job market.

                                    <img height="300" width="500" src="https://rennews.hasibulhuq.com/
The suspension began on August 28, the final day of the exemption granted by US authorities to small packages under the "de minimis" rule, introduced in 1938.

From August 29, imports worth $800 or less have been subject to tariffs, with tighter customs checks in place.

The change has left thousands of small businesses and families struggling to send packages to America, as costs have become prohibitive, according to reports by global media outlets, including AFP and the BBC.

In Bangladesh, online sellers and small entrepreneurs who depend on the postal system to reach diaspora markets, especially Bangladeshi communities in the US, have been hardest hit.

"Since the first of this month, every parcel I tried to send was rejected. They keep telling me parcels to the US are not being accepted anymore. Now I cannot face my regular customers," said Da Ching, owner of Finery, an online craft house in Mirpur area of Dhaka.

She regularly shipped handmade items to clients in the US.

Bangladesh is not alone. Global postal parcel traffic to the US plummeted by 81 percent on August 29 compared with a week earlier, following the end of the exemption, the Universal Postal Union (UPU) said recently, reports AFP.

"I hope next time someone won't remind me of my age anymore!" joked Modric to DAZN.

"It was great play, Ale gave me a great ball and it was easy to score. It was more the pass than my goal."

Modric praised his team's fighting spirit and added: "Game by game we will gain more confidence and I'm sure we will get even better."

The six-time Champions League winner, who arrived at Milan as a free agent after 13 years at Real Madrid, wheeled away in delight at the decisive strike in a match which ended with coach Massimiliano Allegri sent off for his furious reaction at the hosts not being given a late penalty.

New signing Christopher Nkunku looked set to have a chance at scoring his first Milan goal from the penalty spot seconds after replacing Santiago Gimenez when he went down under challenges from Jhon Lucumi and then Remo Freuler.

But after looking at the pitch-side monitor, referee Matteo Marcenaro overruled his own decision to give the spot-kick for the Freuler foul, which sent Allegri into a rage on the touchline, his rant to officials earning him a red card.

Sunday's win was also a successful start for new arrival Adrien Rabiot, who produced an impressive performance alongside Modric in midfield for Milan, who also struck the woodwork three times.

However, his fellow France international Mike Maignan was forced to limp off with what Milan have confirmed is a problem with his right calf.

Allegri said after the match that Maignan would miss next Saturday's clash at Udinese.

Milan's first home win of the season moved them up to fifth, level on six points with Cremonese and Roma, who fell to a shock 1-0 home defeat to Torino earlier on Sunday.
" alt="Timeless Modric opens Milan account with Bologna winner">

The Metropolitan Police -- which estimated 110,000 to 150,000 people turned out, "significantly exceeding" organisers' estimates -- said the clashes broke out after some attendees tried to enter so-called "sterile areas" near counter-protesters.

Around 5,000 people had attended a Stand Up to Racism march which began around a mile to the north. About 1,000 police were deployed to keep the rival groups apart.

Seoul and Washington, which stations around 28,500 troops in South Korea, will also stage a tabletop military exercise, aimed at integrating their military assets.

Kim Yo Jong slammed the drills as a "dangerous idea", in a statement carried by state news outlet KCNA.

"The reckless show of strength made by them (the allies) in real action in the vicinity of the DPRK, which is the wrong place, will inevitably bring bad results to themselves," she said, using the acronym for North Korea.

"With the right policy support, we can eliminate the need for imports in this sector entirely," he added.

Prior to Meghna, the heavy-duty tyre segment used to be dominated by Gazi Auto Tyres before its closure in August 2024 following a devastating fire and vandalism at its Rupganj plant after the mass uprising. Owned by ex-Awami League lawmaker Golam Dastagir Gazi, the company captured 15 to 20 percent of the market for bus and truck tyres, and 65 percent in the minibus segment before it went out of commission.

Overall, Gazi Tyres met 70 percent of the country's demand for tyres used by rickshaws, three-wheelers, and small commercial vehicles.
https://rennews.hasibulhuq.com/article/inflation-defences-are-no-match-for-debt-burden

What would hurt the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner even more is that Miami conceded just two minutes after his miss, with Idan Toklomati scoring his first goal of the game in the 34th minute. The 21-year-old Israeli striker struck again in the 47th minute and then converted from the penalty spot in the 84th, as Charlotte extended their MLS win streak to a record-tying nine games.

Toklomati, who now has 11 goals this season, starred while Miami went down to 10 men after Argentine defender Tomas Aviles was shown a red card in the 79th minute.

It was Inter Miami's first match without suspended striker Luis Suarez, who is serving a three-match ban from MLS for spitting on a Seattle Sounders staff member after Inter's loss in last month's Leagues Cup final.
" alt="Messi misses Panenka penalty, Miami lose 3-0">

"When the streets are flooded and people have to walk through them," says Dr Saba, "this prolonged exposure to dirty water causes fungal infections like athlete's foot. When your skin remains damp and soft for too long, its natural barrier weakens. This makes it easier for fungi and bacteria to enter and grow."
" alt="Strong sunscreen in monsoon?
